Happy early April! Stream Trail is the call for this Sunday, starting from Skyline Gate. The full 9 mile loop follows East Ridge Trail to Pinehurst Road, then connects to Redwood Road and loops back into the park and onto Stream Trail for the return. You also have the option of cutting back to Stream Trail early, such as Canyon Road for a 6 miler. Want to do more? Just ask, we have plenty of creative suggestions.
LOOKING FOR GUEST COORDINATOR: Both Mike and I will be away on Spring Break shenanigans for the following Sunday run (April 8). If anybody is interested in guest hosting our next weekend run, email us!. Responsibilities include greeting Striders (both old and new) and starting folks off on the right path. We'll supply the email announcement! If we don't get any takers, we'll post a do-it-yourselfer for that day.
DIRECTIONS: Skyline Gate is located off of Hwy. 13. This highway is accessible via I-580 and Hwy. 24. From I-580 or Oakland, take Hwy. 13 North. Exit at Park Street.Turn left at Mountain Blvd. Turn right on Snake Rd. Continue straight onto Shepard Canyon Rd. Turn right on Skyline Blvd., and drive straight to the Skyline Gate parking lot on the left.
From Berkeley or Hwy. 24, take Hwy. 13 South. Exit at Moraga Ave/Montclair District. Moraga Ave. becomes Mountain Blvd. Turn left on Snake Rd. Continue straight onto Shepard Canyon Rd. Turn right on Skyline Blvd., and drive straight to the Skyline Gate parking lot on the left.
