Hi Striders, I thought it'd be nice to revisit Wildcat Canyon this weekend for a nice out-and-back run. We'll begin at the Lone Oak parking area and go down the Bike loop for some added distance. The furthest the trail goes is to Richmond, which makes it 9 miles roundtrip.
Also, for those of you still in town the following weekend (Dec. 23), save some time for us in the morning for a post-run get together at Dan and Jan's house near Skyline Gate. More details to come in the next email, stay tuned!
DIRECTIONS: To reach the start, take the Albany/Buchanan Ave. exit from I-80. From the east, turn left at the stop sign which will put you on a road that you follow for about .25 miles where it curves around a bit and puts you on Buchanan. From the west, a right at the stop light puts you on Buchanan. Once on Buchanan, your head toward the hills. After crossing San Pablo, Buchanan becomes Marin Ave. Stay on Marin. At one point you will hit a traffic circle. Go half way around and turn up the hill to stay on Marin. Turn left on Spruce and continue until the stop sign at the intersection with Grizzley Peak Rd. Go straight through the intersection and take an immediate left onto Canon Dr. Right a the stop sign onto Central Park Dr. then left onto Lone Oak.
