This weekend we hit the rolling pavement of the Nimitz Trail at Inspiration Point. I can't be sure what the wind chill factor will be, so be sure to wear layers. The total out-and-back distance ranges from 8-10 miles, depending if you keep going after the pavement ends.
DIRECTIONS: From Oakland/Berkeley, go thru the Caldecott Tunnel on Hwy 24 to the Orinda/Moraga exit. Turn left (north) onto Camino Pablo, and go 2 miles to the traffic light at Wildcat Canyon Rd. Turn left and go uphill 2.5 miles to the parking lot at the top of the ridge.
