Mike says it's time to venture back to the Hayward/San Leandro side for a run, so we're calling for a start at Grass Valley in Anthony Chabot Park. Who knows, with the fall and winter sweeping in early, this may be one of our last opportunities to run this route before the rains fill up the creekbeds. The full route, up the hill to the campgrounds and back down Brandon Trail, is 9 miles.
DIRECTIONS: From the east (Dublin/Castro Valley), take I-580W towards Oakland and exit at 98th Avenue/Golf Links Road. Turn right on Golf Links Road. Golf Links Road becomes Grass Valley Road. Continue straight through a row of eucalyptus trees and park at the end of the road (where Grass Valley and Skyline Blvd. intersect).
From the east (Berkeley/Oakland), take I-580E towards Hayward/Stockton and exit at 98th Avenue/Golf Links Road. Turn left on Golf Links Road. Golf Links Road becomes Grass Valley Road.
