Pac Striders Weekend Run, Sun March 11, 9:00, Bear Valley to Arch Rock

Hello Everyone,
It is with sadness I convey that Malcolm Scotchler's mother died last week. In remembrance, we invite you to share a run with us at one of his favorite trails, Bear Valley Trail to Arch Rock at Pt. Reyes. Weather permitting, we'll have a picnic breakfast after. Otherwise, breakfast in Point Reyes somewhere (optional of course).

For those of you wishing to carpool, Peets Coffee, 1825 Solano Ave. in Albany will be the gathering place (strong coffee will be essential, given the loss of an hour to daylight savings the night before). We will leave Solano Ave. around 8:00 to make the start at the Bear Valley visitors center at 9:00.

Driving Directions to the trail head:

From the East Bay, take the Richmond Bridge and exit at Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Drive west about 20 miles to Olema. Turn right onto Highway 1 and drive about 0.1 mile, then turn left onto Bear Valley Road. Drive about 0.4 mile, then turn left at the "seashore information" sign just past the red barn. Drive about 0.2 mile to the parking lots at the end of the road.
