This Sunday's run will probably mark the first of many winter visits to Inspiration Point in Tilden Park. With rain coming in this Saturday, I thought I'd stick with the high ground just to be safe. Bring a windbreaker in case of gusts but otherwise it should be smooth running over the rolling asphalt. The out and back distance along the paved trail is 8 miles; going past that onto the dirt trail makes 10 miles roundtrip.
DIRECTIONS: From Oakland/Berkeley, go thru the Caldecott Tunnel on Hwy 24 to the Orinda/Moraga exit. Turn left (north) onto Camino Pablo, and go 2 miles to the traffic light at Wildcat Canyon Rd. Turn left and go uphill 2.5 miles to the parking lot at the top of the ridge.
