Rain remains stubbornly in the forecast, so back we go to one of our other weatherproof trail, Inspiration Point. Sticking with the paved Nimitz Trail yields 8 miles for the full out and back. Don't forget to set your clocks one hour forward on Saturday night for Daylight Savings Time.

DIRECTIONS: From Oakland/Berkeley, take Hwy 24 thru the Caldecott Tunnel, then take the Orinda/Moraga exit. Turn left (north) onto Camino Pablo, and go 2 miles to the traffic light at Wildcat Canyon Rd. Turn left and go uphill 2.5 miles to the parking lot at the top of the ridge.
