Happy Christmas and other Winter Solstice-related holidays, Striders. We have a little bit of everything for you runners this holiday weekend. Those who love trails can meet Mike at Skyline Gate at 8:30am for a possible tour of French Trail and other rain-proof routes.
For those looking for a fun racing atmosphere, LMJS' 4th Sunday Run starts at 9am, with the usual choice of 5K-15K races around Lake Merritt. $4 gets you in the action, meet at the Old Boathouse at 1520 Lakeside Drive in Oakland, across the street from the Scottish Rite Temple in Oakland. (best bet is to Mapquest the address for directions)
As they say in my bootcamp, there's no such thing as bad weather, only bad choice of clothing (in other words, bring a hat!). Stay safe and have a happy holiday.
