Pac Striders Dec. 11, 8:30am - Strawberry Canyon, Berkeley

This Sunday we revisit Strawberry Canyon, doing the out-and-back loop to the Lawrence Berkeley Lab for a total run of 8 miles. We'll start from the parking lot at the Haas swimming pool and run to the trail head. Bring water for the fountain-less run but otherwise enjoy the views on the way up to the top.

DIRECTIONS:
Access to Strawberry Canyon is off Centennial Rd., east of UC Berkeley main campus, in the hills just behind the campus.

From I-80, exit at University Avenue. Proceed east on University Avenue then turn left on Oxford. Turn right on Hearst and go up the hill, then turn right on Gayley. Turn left at the stop sign onto Stadium Way. and left again on Centennial Dr., which proceeds eastward up the hill from the back side of the stadium. After about 1/4 mi, pull into the parking lot for the Haas swimming pool on the right.

From Hwy. 13, exit at Ashby Ave. Proceed on Ashby, then turn right on College. Turn right onto Dwight Way, go up the hill and turn left onto Prospect. Proceed around the stadium (to your left) to the first stop sign. After about 1/4 mi, pull into the parking lot for the Haas swimming pool on the right.
