Pac Striders Oct. 30, 8:30am - Briones Regional Park (plus Daylight Savings)

Here's a run from the archives . . . Briones Regional Park is a wonderfully scenic yet challenging run in Orinda, this is likely our last chance to explore this region before the rains turn it into mud. Our standard route is about 8 miles, which is plenty for this hilly area (don't worry, there are choices who want less, or perhaps more!). We'll meet at 8:30am at the parking lot (be aware of the $4 parking fee, or else park outside and run in)

As we haven't been here for some time, check out our maps page to get reacquainted.

BTW don't forget to set your clocks one hour forward on Saturday night! It'll feel like 9:30am, good for us late risers.

DIRECTIONS: From Oakland/Berkeley, go thru the Caldecott Tunnel on Hwy 24 to the Orinda/Moraga exit. Turn left (north) onto Camino Pablo, and go 2 miles to the traffic light at Wildcat Canyon Rd. Turn right onto Bear Creek Road and continue straight 4.4 miles. DO NOT TURN LEFT into the first dirt parking lot, but instead continue onwards to the park entrance on the right side of the road.

Parking at the lot costs $4; you also have the option of parking along Bear Creek Road before the entrance and running in to the parking lot area.
