Pac Striders Oct 16, 8:30am - French Trail (?), Skyline Gate

Those who came to our run last week know that your coordinators are in a "rebuilding" phase (much like the 49ers). So we're tentatively calling for this Sunday's run at French Trail, with the caveat that us coordinators will most likely be doing an out-and-back version, and pointing the rest of the way for you fitter, stronger people.

The full version is about 9 miles with some steep hill grades here and there, going from West Ridge / Tres Sendas / French / Orchard / back to West Ridge. Inclement weather might also affect the trail conditions, although French has been pretty sturdy in the past. Luckily Skyline Gate is replete with options, so we'll let the conditions dictate the final decision.

DIRECTIONS: Skyline Gate is located off of Hwy. 13. This highway is accessible via I-580 and Hwy. 24. From I-580 or Oakland, take Hwy. 13 North. Exit at Park Street.Turn left at Mountain Blvd. Turn right on Snake Rd. Continue straight onto Shepard Canyon Rd. Turn right on Skyline Blvd., and drive straight to the Skyline Gate parking lot on the left.

From Berkeley or Hwy. 24, take Hwy. 13 South. Exit at Moraga Ave/Montclair District. Moraga Ave. becomes Mountain Blvd. Turn left on Snake Rd. Continue straight onto Shepard Canyon Rd. Turn right on Skyline Blvd., and drive straight to the Skyline Gate parking lot on the left.
